For step 2, please note the python software has changed, but the yum install process calls older software. In order to install the ceph-deploy script you will need to use the pip command.

There are a few other changes to the order of step 4. The chown should go last.

The errata file for the course should be uploaded soon with details.

Regards,

What is the syntax for the pip command?

What other changes? ... just chown go last?

When is the errata uploaded? ... and to where?

Among many other changes the URL where the ceph software can be found has had some subtle changes. As you probably saw on other postings the liberty release of OpenStack has gone away. As a result other, connected, files are also having issues.  This issue is probably due to a typo in the repo file you created. I also not you have typed yum-y as if there is not a space between the yum and the -y, which is a flag. Remember whitespace is the deliniator to the shell.  First ensure there is a space between yum and -y, then please post the contents of the yum *.repo file you created.   If the issue is the source of the software has gone away you can look here for more information:

The new version of the lab currently being tested will use the kracken version of ceph.

    serewicz,

URL you provided was helpful in getting past the errors. Also use of pip as directed by updated Labs and Solution pdf was also helpful. The updated procedures work.

    Thank you.
