LFD259 - Lab Setup

Options

Hey,
I cannot avail GCP free tier credits as I do not have a credit card and neither can I use AWS
So with the resources that I have,
I can run 2 KVM containers (Ubuntu 18.04)
With each having
4GB RAM
15GB Space
I don't mind if execution is slow, Let me know if this lab environment is sufficient

    Hello,

You can use KVM, just ensure all traffic between nodes is allowed. Ive tested the labs this way using OvS as a switch and it works.

The control plane node/VM needs a lot of CPU and memory resources. Less than 2cpu and 8G memory and you may have some issues. I'd make the worker smaller and assign more resources to the control plane. You may encounter issues.

    Hey,
    Thanks for replying,
After carefully reviewing the said above, I guess I can push the CP node to have 8GB Memory and Worker node have 4GB memory, With both having 2CPU.

    Hello,

In my experience that should be enough. The stress command in one lab may need slight adjustments, but otherwise all the labs should work as written. If you notice odd behavior I'd use **top** or **htop** on the nodes to see if you run out of memory or CPU.
