Tomorrow I need to go through each exercise and find the best solution. And establish an exercise file with the solutions in a vim tutor type fashion except for less excess language.
I also need to prepend an abreviation of the vim tutor exercises to my exercise file.0December 2020
Today I have reorganized. my days and daily routines. As of right now I am in phase of training where I am working to master vim. I will use vim on the exam. And I must master a large number of maneuvers to be able to express myself effectively with vim.
After Vim I will develop warm ups and practice tests up to 40 a total of 40 ish exercises with solutions. Then I will train with vim to complete those exercises skillfully.
Once I can complete all of the exercises efficiently in an exam like environment. I will then dig deep into any ambiguities in the exercises.
Once I have cleared up any ambiguities. For instance I want to go deep into understanding the event loop, and what a 'tick' is and I want to know more about how to use promisify effectively.
Then I will schedule an exam.
For my training to be successful I need to report the number of exercises that I have created or completed during the day.
Today I created around 40 or more vim exercises that I will do.0December 2020
Today I did not study as much, because I am changing my sleeping schedule so that I can wake up earlier in the moning, I only studied for around 3 hours . I will clean up and design my study environment so that it is more comfortable. And there are less distractions. I want to have a study area with no distractions.0December 2020
I will work early in the day, perhaps I can get a full 6 hours of studying done just in the morning hours, and then spend the evening relaxing and preparing for bed. This seems like a much more reasonable then what I had been doing to work around my neighbors light fixtures. 🙌🏻🤦🏼♂️0December 2020
Today I tried out a new strategy, I felt great during the morning session but once again felt worn down at night. I realized that I never enjoyed studying at night, I usually study in the morning an then just go to sleep incredibly early and wake un incredibly early. The thing that pushed me to stay up late was my neighbor installed these outdoor lights they turn on until 9:30pm which makes it less feasible to go to sleep early. So I pushed my study sessions until 9:30pm. Instead of ending around 5 pm.
From this recent assessment of my productivity. I think that this was a mistake, and it is sad for me to realize, that perhaps for several months I have lost progress due to the fact that I have been pushing my study sessions deeper into the night.
I have sealed my window that lets in my neighbors artificial light at night. And I am committed to going back into my natural flow. And rather than trying to push myself to work at night. I will wake up bright and early and work early in0December 2020
During the day from time to time I would ruminate on my schedule and my productivity.
I think that the most effective way to improve my work output will be to schedule 3hours of work in the morning and just 3 hours of work in the afternoon. Or perhaps 4 hours of work in the morning and two hours of work in the afternoon depending on how things go.
I think these shorter more intense work sessions will allow me to properly relax and refresh myself before the next work session. And I'll be able to organize the parts of my life outside of studying that will assist my ability to study effectively while I am studying. Rather than neglecting some of daily duties to squeeze in more time studying. I'll complete my daily duties promptly out of respect for my work so that I can come to my work clear headed without tasks that are undone existing within me subconscious.
If at topic becomes dry its better to move on and come back later.0December 2020
Today I realized that I can use this area of my profile to log information about my daily activities. And it would meet the requirements That I set for making my work hours public, and put sufficient pressure on me to improve my performance.
Today I did not get as much studying done as I thought I was going to.
I attribute this to studying to narrowly and in a redundant way. I was not able to cover as many topics, and focused narrowly on vary difficult topic.
By doing so it made me feel less confident and excited about learning because of the difficulty of the topic. I am certain that once I have mastered the topic that I will feel a lot better about working on that particular topic.
Although it can become boring to work on the same difficult topic over and over again and result in a reduced worse mood.
Where as in my prior studying strategies I moved quickly between topics picking up the most interesting and easy to learn information, and then circling back to the more diffic0December 2020
