Anyone know what the problem is here. I have tried everything. When switching the router to the 5ghz signal the ssid changes. I have gone in and changed everything that should need changing and it just wont connect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure your card supports working on the 5Ghz band?

Well it says it supports 802.11n and n is the 5ghz signal on my router. Thats all I have to go by.

The "n" standars is not that yet (standard) rather than a draft.

Maybe you are hitting some kind of incompatibility...

Anyway, what about giving us the output of "dmesg" or "/var/log/messages"?

Just got done doing some research on the card itself. Its an AR9285. Turns out it doesn't support 5ghz so she's going back.

Thanks for the willingness to help.
