Novice - knoppix 6.4.3

I am working on something as a pet project. I am working with Knoppix distribution of linux. I run it from either a DVD or my preferred method is a flashdrive. I cannot seem to get wireless drivers to install on the system. I am also attempting to install a virus removal utility so I can just plug in a flashdrive boot into knoppix from the flashdrive run the utility and restore a users system.

Any suggestions, directions, comments, and advice is greatly appreciated.

knoppix is a very full featured system, but due to the read-onlt format there is not much you can do to retain anything. In contrast I would recommend that you look into slax (http://www.slax.org/) where you can build your own pocket distro for a CD or usb drive that can contain all files you need and an array of network card drivers.

The feature your looking for is persistence. When burning your usb stick, see if the app that your using for the burn has "persistence" as an option.
