If you wish to download or save certain attachments, you can do so manually. Simply go to the email, right-click on the attachment, and select the 'Save' option. Manual methods are fine for small amounts of data. However, when dealing with large volumes of data then you can use a professional solution like MailsDaddy PST Attachments Extractor. The tool helps users reduce PST file size by saving attachments to a separate location as a backup. Additionally, it enables users to extract all attachments from multiple PST files simultaneously without any hassle.

  • Extracting attachments from multiple PST files manually is a very time consuming process, especially if you are dealing with large Outlook mailboxes. I recently had to save attachments from several PST files, and using the Softaken Outlook PST Extractor made the task much simpler. It supported multiple PST files at once and kept the original data intact.

What I liked about the tool:

    • Extraction of batch from multiple PST files.
    • All attachments or selected attachments are extracted.
    • Duplicate attachments removal option.
    • Works with large ANSI and Unicode PST files.
    • Allows you to save attachments anywhere you want.
    • No need to install Outlook.
    • Easy for beginners.

I tried the demo version first to check the results and then upgraded to unlimited extraction. If you regularly deal with Outlook archives, this tool is a practical, time saving solution.

  • If you're dealing with several PST files, manually opening each one and saving attachments email by email can take a lot of time. Outlook doesn't provide a built-in option to extract attachments from PST files in one go.

A simpler option is to use Advik PST Attachment Extractor. It lets you add multiple PST files at once and extract attachments in bulk without needing to save them one email at a time. You can also choose specific folders or use filters like date, sender, or subject if you only need certain attachments. The tool keeps the original folder hierarchy intact, so it's easier to identify where each attachment came from.

If you only have a handful of emails, the manual Outlook method is fine. But for multiple PST files or large mailboxes, a dedicated tool can save a significant amount of time and effort.
