How Can I Remove User Password from PDF Document?
I have a PDF document that is protected with a user password, and every time I try to open the file, it asks for a password. Unfortunately, I either forgot the password or want to permanently remove it so the PDF can be accessed without entering credentials each time. I’m looking for a reliable and secure method to remove the user password from the PDF without affecting the document formatting, images, or data integrity.
I tried a few online solutions, but I’m concerned about file privacy and upload limitations. That’s why I’m searching for an offline and trustworthy solution that can safely unlock PDF files.
While researching, I came across SysTools PDF Unlocker. The tool claims to remove both user-level and owner-level PDF restrictions, supports batch unlocking, and keeps the original formatting intact. It also works offline, which is useful for sensitive or confidential PDF documents.
Has anyone here used this tool or any other reliable method to remove user password protection from a PDF document? Any genuine suggestions or step-by-step guidance would be really helpful.

Yes, a user password can be removed from a PDF, but only if you already know the correct password. A user password is the one that stops the PDF from opening without authentication.
First, open the PDF with the known password and check if your PDF reader allows saving an unlocked copy. If that does not work, you can try Softaken Unlock PDF Files. It lets you add the locked PDF, enter the known password, choose an output folder, and create an unlocked version of the file. It can also remove copy, print, and edit restrictions from protected PDFs.0
