I took my CKA today and I spent 50% of the exam time for:
- waiting for the PSI Browser to render key words like "ingreeeeeeeeeess" instead of ingress
- The terminal was so slow opening yaml files it stressed me so out
- scrolling is impossible
- copying and scrolling in the browser is just not possible.
- Sometimes the terminal just simply did not apply changes though using ':wq!'
I was faster typing off the keywords. It is very frustrating - I used KodeKloud and Killer.sh and both env I got the exams done so fast that I had at least 30min+ of time left after the end.
But this PSI Browser almost took me all of my time.
Impossible to debug or switch terminal or applications.Honestly this was so stressful I don't even know if it is worth going for a retake.
I think concentrating on certification that are not served by PSI are more worth the time and hair i lost today.1 -

Hello,
I had my CKAD exam today and was really dissapointed to see issue with the PSI browser.
Within just 7-9 mins of starting exam, the PSI browser session stuck and got closed/disconnected abruptly on its own.I spent almost an hour on this connecting to the Proctor via chat, the proctor then connecting tech-support.
Then proctor closes chat saying you already connected to tech-support. I re-initated PSI secure browser 3rd time and when resumed the exam again to my shock, only 1 hour was lapsed.
Which made me even furious that why should I lose exam time due technical issues that too at PSI Broswer end, inspite of all my laptop system and compatibility checks were passed before and during the exam.I reached out proctor again and then tech support raised ticket.
I quit the exam for obvious reason that i lost 1 hour and 1 hour is not sufficient to give whole exam.
Immediately raised the Jira ticket with Linux Foundation support.Ticket Number - TCCS-141477
Please help.
This is really demotivating0 -
I took the CKA exam today and I had a very similar experience to what drusiecki described.
- very slow response typing word in the terminal
- often duplicated characters (e.g. kubectl appppppply)
- slow to open files
- slow to paste to files
- scrolling in the browser is impossible. No response and then scrolling past what I wanted.
This was very frustrating. I was not able to fully complete all of the questions and I'm scared to see what my score will be. I feel like I knew all of the material very well and I was able to complete other exam simulators without any problems.

Took the exam today and browser quit, stating my internet connection was unstable (although my connection was working fine). After the PSI browser quit, I was shown a page to open a support ticket, which mislead me. I did not know I could resume the session. Why PSI couldn't simply give an option to resume the session, given that many have faced this issue and it is a very common issue? At least, if PSI cannot fix the issue any sooner, give instructions to candidates on what to do if this happens, before they start the exam.
I'm sure this is a known issue so PSI must fix this on their end. If not possible to fix, then Linux Foundation must pick another proctor service that can provide reliable service or provide exam centers.
This is very frustrating. It's not only about losing exam fee or losing an 'exam take'. Offering a free re-take cannot fully compensate the loss. Think about the days we spend practicing, putting our important family time away, for the exam. I hope you will respect the candidates' time and effort more and promptly address this issue.

I took a PSI exam today.
the PSI Secure Browser 6.1.0 disconnect the session 4 times, I lost about 60 minutes out of 120 minutes of exam.
with version 5.4.0, I had no sudden disconnect in May 2025.
This is huge waste of time of huge number of people, I would like you to improve the stability of exam platfom very soon.0 -

I took exam for CKA , 17.6.2025 and had same experience with lagging browser window, slow response , mouse even not possible to use in browser to search in doc.
lagging response in terminal when manipulating in vi editor. It is really stressful, and you as someone who provides certification should provide such env where we can fully focus on tasks and not facing such obstacles. I have opened ticket: TCCS-144577
2 -
I opened (TCCS-144819) almost 24 hours ago now which is market "waiting for support". Due to extreme lag and sluggishness, I ended the exam at the halfway point. My proctor suggested I contact Tech support, who suggested I open a LF ticket which I did. Since searching the Kube doc pages was almost unusable I ended the exam early with most of my questions unanswered as there's no way I could get through the test with these conditions or even have time to doublecheck my work as a 5-minute task would take me 15. This was my re-take as I failed the exam the first time and the exam is hard enough as it is w/o having to deal with issues like this which makes a stressful situation significantly more so. I am hopeful that LF provides me a retake with hopefully a responsive test interface. This was nothing at all like Killer.sh which was very peppy and responsive. I have spent considerable time preparing for this exam and wasn't able to complete my retake. I am hopeful that customer support will provide a resolution.

I see many of us here have experienced the same issues with lag. Did anyone figure out a solution for this? Is there a time of day in which the testing experience is better? If I am fortunate enough to get a re-take, I'd like to re-take it during a time of more optimal conditions if there's something that I can do.

Dear Linux Foundation Team,
I am writing to inform you that I had to interrupt my CKA exam today 22th of June 2025 due to severe latency issues with the PSI browser platform, which made it impossible to complete the exam.
Furthermore, the proctor support via chat was extremely slow in responding to my requests for assistance, which further worsened the situation.
I have opened ticket #4993288 to document this issue, and I sincerely hope to be allowed to retake the exam without losing the opportunity to use the reserved exam attempt.
I look forward to your response and thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
Best regards,
Marco
