What Linux or Distro can make Active Directory

hi! i want to ask what Best and FREE Linux or Distro i can use for make Active Directory (alternative for Windows Active Directory) for my network? i hope anyone can help me about this.. THANK YOU....

    The open versio nof AD is OpenLDAP. Most any current Linux distribution can work well as a good OpenLDAP server. Red Hat Enterprise Linux and its free derivatives (CentOS, Oracle Linux, Scientific Linux, et al) are commonly used for this purpose in enterprise environments.
