Lab 3.3: Finish Cluster Setup - Worker node is at NotReady state
The worker node is at NotReady state
get pods
Describe on pod calico-node-6f5nn (status: Init:0/3) only events.
on worker node : journalctl -xeu kubelet
This is using GCP VMs.
Has anybody been exposed to this situation or knows how to make the worker node reaches the Ready state. I am kinda out of ideas here?
Thanks.

Hi @imed,
Are the GCE instances, VPC network, and firewall provisioned according to the instructions from the video guide found in Chapter 1? It seems that the inter-node communication is not configured as expected by the cluster's networking components.

Hi Chris,
I made sure the firewall is configured the way mentioned in the video. The difference i have though was on OS level. I was using ubuntu 20.04
I will be recreating my nodes to match the lab spec and update this thread.Cheers,

The latest release of the course recommends Ubuntu 20.04, so that should not be the issue.

The issue was related to the firewall rule. Had to redo all the steps. Thanks @chrispokorni for the help.
Cheers,
