I've been looking for programs to act as my new Windows Media player because I would like to add some more music to my mp3 player, and I'm not having much success on finding a program that will recognise my mp3 as one.

Who wants to help?

    What you are experiencing is not a problem with the apps, but a problem with installed codecs. You will need to install a package called lame to read the mp3 files, you can also search in the synaptic package manager for the word codec to find the additional packages necessary to read the other audio and video file types that you want to read.
