For application selection, is doing the required task mentioned as prerequisite is enough for selection process or do i need to have done any previous open source contribution

Helps you practice interacting and working with the community Linux Kernel Mentorship Program Required ContributionsParticipate in Stable release process, Debugging, and Staging tree coding style cleanups are the two I would highly recommend putting some effort into.
