I'm at the step where I pull an image from a private repo:

sudo docker image pull myregistry.com:5000/alpine:latest

I get the following error:

Error response from daemon: Get https://myregistry.com:5000/v2/: net/http: request canceled while waiting for con
nection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)

But still getting the issue.

If you click on the URL- it says the site can't be reached. Should I try a different repo?

In this scenario, "myregistry.com" was only used for illustration purposes. It is not a real private registry. An actual private registry would be something setup by you, for your own use, or maybe your team's use, on your own workstation or the intranet of your company/organization - hence, it would be private.

If you setup your own private registry, let's say "rachel-registry.net" (just an example) or have the registry on a host with an IP address 35.45.55.65 (just an example), then you would be able to pull and push container images from that private registry.
