Welcome to the Linux Foundation Forum!

Section 2.1 cannot launch BUI - new session/site can't be reached

1. Initial install of Openstack - devstack version PIKE -  using./stack.sh

2. Install completes, no issues

3. Launched the dashboard (192.168.97.1), and it times out.

Other Notes,

Section 2.1,this command is not working on the lab setup.

ubuntu@devstack-cc:~/devstack$ ip addr show ens3

Device "ens3" does not exist.

Comments

  • try ip addr show, You'll see all interfaces

By the way in the lab notes for section 2.1 I see " ip addr show eth2"

Where did you get your lab notes?

I'm having the same issue. I see this from the command:

    ubuntu@devstack-cc:~/devstack$ ip addr show ens3
    Device "ens3" does not exist.

My problem is the public IP for eth0 points to an existing site for some security company...

    ubuntu@devstack-cc:~/devstack$ ip addr show

Trying to navigate to 198.101.238.29 doesn't take me to the Horizon dashboard, but rather the login landing page for some company called MSS CRM...

  • In section 2.1 When I click the "Launch Lab Environment" it encountered the errors "Forbidden
You don't have the permission to access the requested resource. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server
    "
Could you please assist me on this to launch the lab.

  • When clicked "Launch Lab Environment" https://dfw-labs-2.exams.linuxtrainingservices.org/course/LFS252/lab2 URL is not working says errors "Forbidden

Hi anumodputhukulam, when did you sign up for the course? If you just enrolled, it takes 1-2 business days to receive access.

  • I signed up for the course yesterday 01/09/2018(saturyday) so when will I get the access?

  • fcioanca
    fcioanca Posts: 2,590

It takes 1-2 business days (Monday-Friday, no holidays) to get access. Please keep in mind that tomorrow is also a holiday in the US, so it does not count as a business day. By mid next week, you should have access.

  • The openstack training for this course is from Mirantis/Redhat/Canonical/Ubuntu/SUSE which one this openstack training belongs to ?

You signed up for LFS252, offered by The Linux Foundation

  • Ok thanks

  • Also could you please let me know the COA certification provided by Openstack foundation or any other vendor?

If you bought the bundle LFS252 plus COA, you will find all necessary information provided with your enrollment and in your portal. As far as certification provided by other vendors, please do your research online, as we cannot provide information related to non-LF products.
