Lab 3.1 on Ubuntu Zesty

Does anyone know how to do a one-time boot to text-mode on Ubuntu Zesty? I've tried kernel arguments 'text' and 'gfxpayload=text'

    Hi,

    Just FYI, we are not working with Ubuntu 17.04 yet, in fact we are working to incorporate Ubuntu 16.04.

    Try appending 

       systemd.unit=multi-user.target

    Disclaimer: I've onlyt tried this on 16.04.

    Try just appending "3" (that seems to work on almost all systemd systems)
