How to go about setting up win xp/zorin os dual boot on my toshiba satellite laptop?

I want to dual boot win xp and zorin on my laptop. How exactly would I go about doing this?

Should I install win xp first, then the linux distro, or the other way around?

I've had some problems getting boot disks to actually boot on a computer before, whether it was my bios that was the problem I don't know. Any tips would be great, thanks.

Windows will always remove any prior bootloader, so you will have to install windows xp on the computer first. As long as zorin has an intelligent bootloader it should automatically recognize the windows installation and add an option to the bootloader. As for the boot issue, I have not experienced problems having a CD or DVD boot correctly except when the iso file is written to the disk as data rather than doing a proper iso copy. Just report back if you have issues and we will try our best to assist.
