in Getting Started with Linux

I have just purchased a raspberry pi, and i believe i should put linux on it. However, i am a total noob to doing this stuff myself. Iv downloaded and ISO file containing the Zorin version. however iv no idea how to get it onto the SD card properly, do i need to do something to it for it to be read?

Any help appreciated!

    I will warn you that Zorin would probably not work as it is not compiled for the ARM architecture. You'll probably be better off using a distro listed on this page here. The link points towards downloads of the distros already supported as well as instructions for installation. I believe Fedora 17 will also be available if it isn't already. Just remember that the Raspberry Pi uses the ARM architecture as opposed to x86.

    dd if=/path/to/iso of=/path/to/sdcard

    (if the iso is compatible with raspaberry-pi that is)

    I just read on the wiki site Raspberry Pi, that this board can use Debian, Arch Linux and Fedora for arm architects. I recommend using Debian.
