If that doesn't help, check out www.linuxwireless.org - they have documentation and driver/firmware download links for just about any WiFi device known. That's how I got WiFi working on my Dell D630 laptop when I switched to Scientific Linux 6.1 (a clone of RHEL 6.1).
my laptop is acer aspire 5310 (atheros AR5007EG.....BROADCOM BCM43....Broadcom NetLink BCM5787M)
i downloaded the "compat-wireless-3.2-rc6-3.tar" from http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download/
hope is the correct kit needed....but how to install it on linux....and where? says to extract and
install it where is none space i dont know. ive attached a photo with "what to do"
