retrieving data off sony data card

I recorded footage on an sxs data card in my sony hidef camcorder. i forgot to transfer footage from my previous job and accidentally reformatted it in the camera. i was told that as long as i didnt re record on it, i should be able to retrieve the data. ive had zero luck with the various softwares out there. but im told that linux may be able to.

no luck with windows.

id appreciate any guidance on this.

calling the main linux phone number was pointless, noone answers calls. i assume linux is not operated out of someones garage....

any solutions or recommendations appreciated.

plus any phone numbers that have humans present would be great
