CKAD labs in AWS. How much does it cost?

Hi everyone. I enrolled in the CKAD course. I would like to know what is the average cost to run these labs in AWS. I don't want to be surprised with a huge bill from AWS at the end of the month. Thank you.

Hi @madamosky,

It is nearly impossible to estimate in advance the cloud services costs with the lab environment. When provisioning the cloud instances, the cloud console may show you an estimated amount per instance per month, assuming the instance operates 24 hours daily. To save on costs I always recommend stopping the instances when not actively used, to minimize costs, instead of letting them run idle while you are not actively performing any lab related work. Simply by stopping the instances even for 12 hours each day (or more), can reduce costs by close to 50% (or more).
