Can MSG files be converted without attachments?

I'm archiving a large number of MSG emails, but I don't need every attachment included in the backup. Keeping all the attachments would significantly increase the storage requirements.

I found the MacSonik MSG Converter Tool, which provides an option to convert MSG emails without attachments. That seems useful for creating a lightweight copy containing just the email content.

At the same time, there are certain messages where I do need the attachments, so I don't want a tool that permanently removes them. Having the ability to choose whether attachments are included during conversion seems like a better approach.

The software also has an option to save attachments separately when exporting MSG emails to PDF, which could be useful for keeping the email and its files organized independently.

Has anyone here used a converter with this kind of attachment control? I'd like to know how practical it is when processing hundreds of MSG files.
