I’ve been cleaning up years of archived email data and needed a reliable way to convert an MBOX file without losing folder structure or attachments. After trying a few options, I came across MacSonik MBOX Converter, and I’m curious if anyone else has used it for larger mailboxes.
One thing that caught my attention is that it supports both single and batch MBOX conversion, so you can process multiple files at once instead of repeating the same steps. It also claims to handle oversized MBOX files without file size limitations, which is important when dealing with old email archives.
Another useful feature is the ability to export MBOX files into several formats like PST, EML, MSG, PDF, CSV, and more. I often need CSV copies for analysis in Excel, while PST is useful for Outlook. During PDF export, it can even save attachments separately into a dedicated folder, which sounds convenient.
I also noticed it includes a built-in preview, so you can verify emails and attachments before starting the conversion. There's a duplicate removal option as well, which could save a lot of cleanup time for anyone with merged backups.
platforms? I saw it also supports migrating Google Takeout MBOX data into Office 365 and offers date filters for exporting only emails from a selected period.
