Why Does the Converter Increase Image Size but Not Image Quality?

Increasing an image's size and improving its quality are two different things.

When you upscale an image, the converter adds more pixels to increase the resolution, but if the original image is blurry, compressed, or low-quality, there isn't enough detail to make it look significantly sharper. The result is a larger image file that may look very similar to the original.

A few common reasons for this are:

The original image has low resolution.
The image was heavily compressed (common with social media downloads).
The image is blurry or out of focus.
Standard resizing was used instead of AI-based enhancement.

If you're using high quality image converter, try uploading the highest-quality original image available. Images with good detail generally produce much better results when converted to higher resolutions.

In short, the converter can increase image dimensions, but it cannot fully recreate details that were never present in the original image.
