Outlook Won't Properly Import My VCF Contacts. Should I Split the File First?

I'm trying to import contacts from a VCF file into Outlook, but the import process doesn't seem to work correctly. Some contacts are missing, while others aren't appearing as expected.

The VCF file contains a large number of contacts, so I'm wondering whether the file size or structure could be causing the problem. Would splitting the VCF file into smaller files improve Outlook's ability to import the contacts correctly?

If anyone has experienced this issue before, I'd like to know what worked for you and whether splitting the file is worth trying.

Yes, splitting the VCF file is worth trying if Outlook is missing contacts during import. Large vCard files can sometimes not work properly in Outlook, especially when the file has many contacts from different sources or mixed vCard versions. First, I would try to split the large VCF file into smaller vCard files and then try to import them again. For this, you can try TrustVare Contacts Manager, which helps you to split large VCF files into multiple vCard files and keep the contact information safe. It functions better when the contact file comes from different apps or devices because it supports vCard 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0. Until Outlook imports the split contacts without losing any information, keep the original VCF file secure.
