Linux MDM Solutions Worth Exploring for Enterprise Device Management

I’ve been researching Linux device management tools recently for handling remote devices, kiosk setups, patch management, and endpoint security. Since Linux adoption is growing across enterprise and edge environments, I thought it would be useful to share a few Linux MDM/UEM solutions that seem to be actively used in different scenarios.

Here are some platforms I came across:

  1. Scalefusion
Good for Linux kiosk mode, remote device management, app management, and centralised monitoring. Seems useful for organisations managing mixed-device environments along with Linux systems.

  2. ManageEngine Endpoint Central
Offers Linux endpoint management along with patching and asset management features. Often mentioned in enterprise IT discussions.

  3. FleetDM
Open-source focused solution built around osquery. Looks interesting for security visibility and device monitoring.

  4. Canonical Landscape
Useful for Ubuntu-based infrastructure management, updates, and compliance handling in enterprise environments.

  5. VMware Workspace ONE
Mostly known for cross-platform endpoint management, but some teams also use it in Linux-related deployments.

  6. Red Hat Satellite
Commonly used in Red Hat environments for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.

I’m curious what others here are currently using for Linux device management.

Are you managing Linux laptops, servers, kiosks, or edge devices?
Which platform has worked best for automation and remote management?
Any good or bad experiences with Linux MDM tools recently?
