Introduction Post – Cloud Engineer Exploring Zero Trust

Hi everyone,

My name is Michael, and I’m a Cloud Engineer based in Jacksonville, Florida. My background is in infrastructure engineering with a focus on cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), automation, and security.

I’m taking this course to strengthen my understanding of Zero Trust principles and how to apply them in real-world enterprise environments—especially around identity, network segmentation, and secure access patterns. With the increasing shift toward hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, I see Zero Trust as a critical design model rather than just a security add-on.

I’m particularly interested in:
• Practical implementation strategies for Zero Trust in cloud and hybrid environments
• Identity-centric security models and least-privilege access
• Tooling and frameworks that support Zero Trust architecture

Looking forward to learning from everyone here and sharing ideas as we go through the course.

Thanks,
Michael
