NOTICE: Upcoming LFS253 update

Hello,

We are preparing to roll out a major update of the Containers Fundamentals (LFS253) course over the next couple of weeks. As a result, both lectures and lab exercises will be updated.

For the updated lab exercises, access to a Linux desktop/laptop is required. Access to a local hypervisor is optional in the absence of a native Linux desktop/laptop. Guidelines to set up your lab environment are provided in the course.

The updated labs have been tested on Ubuntu Desktop 24.04 LTS. If using a different Linux distribution, you will need to adapt the commands to your specific distribution.

We will do our best to minimize disruptions in your learning experience, but wanted to give you a heads up about the upcoming changes. These changes will be incremental, so you will start seeing updated pages throughout the course in the coming days.

Chapter 2 has been updated.
