    Hi, what equiptment do you have?

    In my case I use UTM on an iMac from 2019 so it still has the intel chips which make VMs easier to set up.

    My other option would be a cloud provider like Hetzner, AWS or Azure

    Have you looked in Chapter 3 of this course? There is a section for Linux Installation and some video demonstrations using VMWare and Oracle VirtualBox, I think. If you want to use another hypervisor, you will need to read the documentation for that hypervisor.

    As was already asked of you, what platform are you trying to set up a virtual working environment? Mac? Windows?
