Is it possible to automatically import Gmail contacts to iCloud?

By default, Google and Apple do not offer a direct, fully automatic sync between Gmail contacts and iCloud. That means there’s no built-in switch that keeps Gmail contacts updating in iCloud in real time. However, users can still achieve a near-automatic process by setting up regular backups and imports instead of doing everything manually each time.

One common approach is to back up Gmail contacts at scheduled intervals and then import them into iCloud in a structured way. This keeps contacts updated while reducing the risk of data loss or duplicates. Many users who manage frequent contact changes quietly rely on solutions like the MailConverterTools Gmail Backup Tool to handle Gmail contacts in an organized manner before importing them into iCloud.

So while true live syncing isn’t officially supported, automatically importing Gmail contacts to iCloud is possible through scheduled or repeatable workflows. This method ensures your contact data stays current, secure, and consistent across platforms without requiring constant manual effort.
