Extremely Poor Experience During My CKA Exam – Request for Explanation and Resolution
Dear Linux Foundation Certification Team,
I am writing to share my very disappointing experience during my Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam on 30th October 2025 (5pm -7 pm CET)
I have invested more than two months of dedicated preparation for this certification. I completed the official CKA course, practiced extensively in my own lab environment, and thoroughly worked through all Killer.sh practice scenarios and mock exams without any issues.
However, during my actual exam, the experience was extremely frustrating and technically unstable. The exam environment suffered from severe lag and unresponsiveness throughout the session:
The documentation page was very slow and difficult to scroll — at times it scrolled uncontrollably.
The terminal lag was severe: every keystroke took several seconds to appear, and deleting characters caused random removals beyond what I intended.
Opening or editing files took an unusually long time, making it almost impossible to navigate or work efficiently.
The entire environment frequently froze, wasting valuable time and breaking my concentration.
When I tried to explain the issue to the proctor, the chat was abruptly closed before the issue could be resolved.
Despite staying calm and trying to complete as many questions as possible, the lag and freezing environment made it impossible to perform normally. The experience was honestly traumatizing — I felt completely helpless and unable to demonstrate my actual skills.
I did not expect this kind of technical failure from the Linux Foundation, especially after paying a significant exam fee and preparing so thoroughly.
I respectfully request:
A clear explanation of what caused this issue.
Confirmation that the exam environment will be stable and usable before I attempt my retake.
Assurance that my next attempt will not be affected by similar technical problems.
I am currently hesitant to reschedule my retake until I receive a proper response and clarification that the platform issues have been resolved.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope the Linux Foundation takes this feedback seriously, as it directly impacts candidates’ trust and confidence in the certification process.
Sincerely,
Nisha S
