“Your camera is no longer working. error-sb-0004”

I appeared for my JSNAD exam last night. The exam was interrupted, and I was forced to exit after 5 minutes into the exam. Even after retrying, I continued to face the same error.

I spent almost 5 hours reconnecting multiple times but was facing the same issue.

Troubleshooting attempted:
* Restarted the computer
* Closed all camera-using apps (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
* Verified webcam works outside the secure browser (Camera app test successful)
* Checked and confirmed camera permissions in system settings
* Relaunched the secure browser multiple times
* Issue persists — same error repeats

System Information:

  • Device: Desktop Dell
  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Webcam: Built-in or external
  • Network: Stable internet connection

Please suggest how this issue can be resolved.
