Welcome to the Linux Foundation Forum!

In which Linux tree should we have to fix the grammatical errors/spellings/typos etc.?

Hello Everyone,

In the Documentation task, it is not evident which tree should be used for fixing typos/grammatical errors? Could we do that in the last stable release?

Also is this the mailing list which we shall cc for our upstream patches?
linux-kernel-mentees@lists.linuxfoundation.org

Thanks! Any clarification would be highly appreciated!

    Hi there,

It depends on the file you're modifying. For example, the DRM folks handle their own documentation
patches. However, in most cases docs-next and mainline are fine. This should help:

    1. $ ./scripts/get_maintainer.pl --scm /path/to/file.rst
