Linux from beginner point of view

I have been using various forms of Linux and initially I thought Linux as an operating system but as I dive in it actually the kernel and different distros are derived from it. Now, I am hoping to get deeper understanding of Linux from this course as I study computer science and use WSL on windows for my workflow, it so easy to navigate through CLI on wsl

  • WSL (Windows Subsystem Linux) is a convenient way of learning CLI (Command Line Interface) commands in Linux. As you progress into Linux systems administration, network administration, cloud topics, security, etc. (if you should decide to drill deeper), you may find running a virtual machine (VM) or installing Linux directly onto your hardware to be necessary to further explore. You can also look at various cloud machines (AWS or GCE, for example), too. Good luck!
