I just started the course and I'm facing a couple of videos about environment set up that I don't think I'd be personally interested in following, so I'm now facing a choice:

  • Tediously watch videos that probably don't interest me
  • Risk missing important information

This wouldn't be such a problem if videos were accompanied by a content summary and a text transcript, preferably with clickable timestamps.

I see videos already have high quality closed captions. Those could be used to generate the content I'm asking for, perhaps using generative AI in the case of summaries.

I leave this suggestion to your consideration.

  • Hi @joaormatos,

Thank you for your post. This functionality is available in the learning platform. Simply select "cc", then choose "Search Video" from the menu. The transcript will appear over the video, and you can select the timestamp by clicking on the transcript text. This will take you to the selected place in the video. I have included an image below. I hope this helps!
