Interacting with peers of test-network MSP error

Hi all,
I am trying to interact with peers running on test network. I use FABRIC_CFG_PATH env to point to the core.yaml file. And use the script setOrgEnv.sh to set the default org1 environment values. But this makes hyperledger fabric to look for MSP with in FABRIC_CFG_PATH rather than org1 env values which has the CORE_PEER_MSPCONFIGPATH value. Can anyone please shed some light on it? Thank you.
