Hello and brief introduction

Hi,

I have been casually playing with Linux since Ubuntu 4.10 Warty Warthog as a basis for using Open Source Photography programs to use with students in a after schools photography workshops.

I am now retired and looking to learn more about Linux by looking under the "bonnet" so to speak and learn how the "engine" works. No longer happy to just drive a "car".

No more metaphors!
