Lab 6.3 .batch used with object "job" and "cronjob"

Hello,

I have observed on Lab 6.3 that word .batchwas appended to the object when he targeted object was either a "job" or a "cronjob".

The commands used to interact with these objects were ¨get¨, ¨describe¨, ¨delete¨.

I would appreciate if someone could kindly explain when we favour a command with the appended .batch, and when we don't. Additionally, I wonder if there is any other object for which we would use the .batch.

$ kubectl <command> <object>.batch <objectname>
vs
$ kubectl <command> <object> <objectname>

Hi @josepmaria,

The kubectl CLI appends the API group when calling an object and leveraging the command completion feature.
To find out more about API groups and their respective objects analyze the output of:

kubectl api-resources
