Welcome to the Linux Foundation Forum!

Choose your own cloudinfra/platform for learning

In the details of the program Cloud Native Developer, I found that the student has to create an AWS (Amazon) account. Is this correct? I found an PDF document explaining "Why AWS...", but this does not answer the question: may I choose another VM/Container,/Kubernetes platform? I do this program especially to learn and build upon a new kind of decentralized self-sovereign cloud infrastructure (see for example threefold.io).....Hopefully I am free to choose, like opensource software!;-)

    Hi @harmen123

The labs in each course in the ITPP have been designed/tested on particular platforms and distros - this will be described in each particular course. You are welcome to choose a different environment, but please be aware that you will most likely have to make changes to ensure things work as expected in a different environment, and moderator support may be limited if you are using something different.

    Kind regards,
