Relationship to certification

Hey Yall, I guess I'll know sunday when i do the cert exam but after completing this course I purchased the exam (with one of the coupons on the net!), there isnt really any material with the exam.

So the question is, does this content map to that exam or does anyone know of other material? I'd imagine they will be very similar but hoping the cert may go slightly deeper.

    Hi @delprofundo

This course is an introduction to Backstage and not considered a companion course for the exam. We currently do not have a course that covers the exam domains and competencies.

  • Having completed the certification successfully now, the content is basically all available in:

    1) backstage docs
    2) experience in using the cli
    3) experience with writing code in modules and the app itself.
    4) configuration and container creation

2-3 are pretty basic, but tricky, theyre gonna show you code examples of using the various npm modules, how to change contents of catalog panels etc.

If you've been working on an active backstage project, where you have introduced some third party and custom components, ur probably gonna be good.

Ive been writing backstage plugin at lest 50% of the week for the last 2 years, did no prep and almost got a perfect score.

Hey @delprofundo , thank you very much for your feedback. Actually I don't have any experience yet on Backstage and I took the certification. I didn't know there wasn't any resource for preparing. I'll try learning by myself...
