    Experimented with timing chips and op amps as a teen, but never did anything too crazy with my PC. Just got into Arduino and I'm excited to learn the fundamentals. I'm running Linux Lite 7.0, as of 12 whole hours now! I'm using my Dell Optiplex 360, W/ a Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2.2GHz 2GB DDR2 SDRAM. So far so good! Even managed to get Arduino IDE to work.. mostly.
