Hello, everyone
I thought I'd give a quick 'hello'. I've taken 101 before, through EdX as memory serves, but I'm taking the course again as I plan to take the LFCS towards the end of 2024, so I'm taking a run through 101 in August before shifting to 207.
I'll be using CentOs Stream 9 for this course. I know LFCS mentions Stream 8, but that went EOL in May 2024.
I work for an IT consultancy and have 25 years if IT experience under the belt mainly in Wintel, hybrid cloud and blue chip projects. I've been toying with Linux for about 10 years and following a few abortive attempts at getting LFCS I'm in a position to focus on the studies this year. Linux is part of a set of studies over the past few years to let me transition into cybersecurity for the remainder of my career.
Look forward to learning from and with you.

Hi JS! It's great to see fellow professionals pursuing the LFCS with a strong long-term vision. I'm currently on a similar path. I hope you have done well in 2024 and achieved this goal. I am
now focusing on LFCS as my next step. After that, I plan to move on to the CKA and other Kubernetes certifications to deepen my container and orchestration expertise. My goal is to connect with others on the same track, share knowledge, and help build a solid learning community around Linux, DevOps, and Kubernetes. Looking forward to learning and growing alongside you and the rest of the community!
