building a kernel module for a currently unsupported wireless card

hey all, so I'm brand new to kernel development, but I'd like to build a module that would function as the driver for my laptop's wireless card (MediaTek Wi-Fi MT7902 Wireless LAN Card), which is currently unsupported in any linux distro as far as I've found. All the 'build a kernel' tutorials I've found so far don't get into the details of how to do this
any help, advice, links, tutorials, etc. are greatly appreciated

  • Hi firefairy,
There's a book called 'Linux Kernel Programming - Second Edition' that seems to be very good from reviews. The price tag is a bit hefty for a computer book, but I'm seriously thinking of investing in it!

    Good luck!
