Create directories manually when install Linux on VMware

Hello,
I need help to solve this task: Install Ubuntu inside VMware and perform the following customizations (interactive, manual installation): Create Four Directories:

swap
/
/home
/opt
How can I create these directories? when I install Ubuntu inside VMware these directories are automatically created, how do I make this manually?

I guess you are asking about how to manually partition the disk, is that right?

I have anther problem please,
when I install ubuntu 23.04 and create the four directories manually, I get a message installation failed, what should I do to solve this problem?

I can't tell what's failing. But I'd start checking the checksum for the installation image (.iso file).
