i bought a usb wifi adapter but i realised later that it didn't have linux drivers, so i found open source drivers for the network adapter, the network adapter is rtw8822cu and i found this two drivers:

https://github.com/ulli-kroll/rtw88-usb (old driver that work on linux kernel 5.17)

https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/latest/source/drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtw88/rtw8822cu.c (idk how to install this)

but following the steps of the github repository i get an error so i can't install the driver on ubuntu 23.10 cause the kernel on it is higher (6.5)

error: "error = make[1]: enter the directory «/usr/src/linux-headers-6.5.0-13-generic»make[2]: *** No rules for generating the target «c/rtw88-usb-master». Shutdown.
make[1]: *** [Makefile:234: __sub-make] Errore 2
make[1]: exit from directory «/usr/src/linux-headers-6.5.0-13-generic»
make: *** [Makefile:112: all] Errore 2"

I managed to install the drivers using this open source drivers:

    https://github.com/lwfinger/rtw88

following these commands in the terminal:
    make
    sudo make sign-install

set an easy password you can remember

when installation is completed reboot your PC

    sudo reboot

when your PC reboots you enter into MOK management

select "Enroll MOK" insert your password then continue and select reboot

after the reboot i found my wifi usb adaptor working great.
