Can I fix security bug on Linux kernel Bug Fixing Summer Unpaid 2023 program?

I'm participating for lkmp this session. Can I fix security bugs instead of normal bugs while taking part on this mentorship program?

In the kernel we don't differentiate between security and other bugs. All bugs get fixed. That being said, mentees can choose their areas and interest and bugs they want to work on. Bugs aren't assigned.
