Does LXD use LXC as the backend to interact with containers? Does LXD try to provide a docker-like experience for LXC?

    Hi @kaisong,

These CLIs follow similar syntax, that is specific among tools that manage artifacts (such as container images) used for systems and applications deployments on various platforms, be it docker, lxd, lxc, podman, crictl, nerdctl, ctr, or others.

Thanks for the clarification, and I understand these tools are similar and at core are managing container artifacts. My question was more regarding lxd and lxc. Are they completely different tools? Or, lxd (the manager) is using lxc as its backend?
