Can only have one active monitor (either built in or external)

Does this mean, I can connect an external monitor to the laptop, close the laptop lid and turn off the display in the laptop, use a external web camera. So, that it should be considered as a one ACTIVE monitor and allowed to take the CKAD exam? because, the other inbuilt laptop display is closed/inactive.
