Linux on 2018 HP Pavilion laptop

Are there any HP friendly Linux distros they will easily install on a 2018 HP Pavilion laptop? I have tried Ubuntu, Mint, Cinnamon and Zorin pro. Can't get any of them to work. Advice?

Why can't you get them to work? What happens? What do you see?

  • It's been awhile, but if I remember correctly after usb install at the BIOS it wouldn't recognize my wifi or printer settings. There may be more to it but it's been more than two years since I tried that install. I'll try again and let you know what happens. I have Zorin Pro on a USB, I'll try that first.

  • you need to get update to date kernel with the drivers included for the HP, or install drivers on your on.
