Install Extension in VSCode during exam
I know that LF allows us to use VSCode during the exam. Since VSCode has many useful extensions, I want to know if I can install an extension such as Thunder Client in VSCode so I can test my work.

Hi @baocongchen ,
Please check the Candidate Handbook, and if it does not provide an answer, please direct any exam-related questions to our Customer Support team at trainingsupport.linuxfoundation.org.
Thank you,
Flavia

Here's what they said:
During the exam, Candidates may only use the browser within the VM to access the documentation listed at:
Installing and using extensions is not permitted.

I gave the answer 1 star since the person who gave the answer did not respond to my specific question. Looks like he did not know that we are allowed use VScode in the exam.

Hi @krave and @baocongchen ,
Please take a lot at the documentation available regarding the exam environment workstation, which mentions that VSCode is already installed.
I hope this helps.

Regards,
FlaviaWe, me and @baocongchen , are talking about VSCode extensions rather than VSCode itself. Extensions have extra features beyond VSCode. More specifically, @baocongchen is talking about
Thunder Client
which maybe very helpful for us to test if our code works correctly or not.0 -
Yes, it is possible for exam candidates to install VSCode Extensions.

Just a heads-up. I took the exam yesterday for the first time, and today I got a passed result with a score of 77. I couldn't install Thunder Client because the version of VScode used in the exam was not compatible. It took me 15 mins trying to install Thunder Client until I gave up. I ended up using REST Client instead. I recommend you spend sometime on getting used to the tool if you've never used it before.
