How are students intended to perform these two steps?

I've read the Calico intro page (for instance) multiple times. The information requested in step 3 isn't present on this page.

Similarly, the Canal page does not address this information.

Are the instructors for LFD259 hinting that the students should read all the materials for all these CNI plugins?
